Join us for this virtual workshop to help improve your presentation and storytelling skills. Mark has spent his career specializing in helping people be the most effective communicator they can be – both through writing and public speaking. He currently works with the CEO at a Fortune 250 company. Mark has worked in Hollywood and across various political roles (including at the White House).
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Mark Busse is the Director of Executive & Corporate communication at NextEra Energy, Inc., a leading clean energy company. He is responsible for preparing remarks and presentations delivered by the company’s CEO and other senior officers, and he has also led several other corporate communications functions.
Prior to joining NextEra Energy, Mr. Busse served for nearly three years as senior policy adviser to Senator John Cornyn. From 2006 to 2009, he was senior director for speechwriting at The White House, where he wrote speeches for President George W. Bush and National Security Adviser Stephen J. Hadley. From 2000 to 2005 he served in the administration of Florida Governor Jeb Bush, first as his chief speechwriter and then as his deputy policy director. Before his public service, Mr. Busse spent nearly a decade in the television industry, including more than six years at Paramount Network Television.
Mr. Busse earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Princeton University and a master’s degree from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. He serves on the board of directors of the Palm Beach County Food Bank and is a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He lives in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife and two daughters.
